Their lyrics are not only catchy, but they are beautiful, poetic, and completely honest. Their grunge music compliments the words, bolstering the messages and adding a sense of relatability to their listeners. It is truly hard to imagine that they have only just recently begun writing original music as their craftsmanship exemplifies decades of practice.”

AP Tobler

noisy poet in constant metamorphosis

AP Tobler is a queer musician, singer, and songwriter based in San José, CA.  Their music is heavy and angsty, with themes of loneliness,  dysphoria, and depression. AP aims to share their experiences with mental illness through writing music rooted in grunge and alternative rock. Their music is heavily inspired by 90’s rock and metal such as Nirvana, Green Day, and Deftones. AP’s versatility as a multi-instrumentalist allows them to compose and record all tracks for studio recordings. They have a 4 piece band consisting of two guitars, bass, drums, and vocals for live shows. AP has shared the stage with prominent acts such as Destroy Boys, Archer Oh, and Post Sex Nachos. AP also performed at San Francisco's Noise Pop Festival 30.

AP’s musical journey began with the discovery of drums at the age of 8. They explored the sounds and composition of grunge, hard rock, metal, and jazz through their studies, adding guitar and bass to their instrument studies in the years that followed. AP has been gigging regularly since a young age, performing at high profile music events such as PASIC and Sweetwater Gearfest. AP holds an Advanced Professional certificate in General Music Studies from Berklee College of Music.

AP Tobler is a new up and coming artist you should not forget about. With hard hitting melodies and intense production, Tobler is taking the grunge, post-punk scene by storm.”
